Elite 2022 draft prospect raves about his experience with the Miami Dolphins at the NFL combine
- Updated: March 4, 2022
The Miami Dolphins are entering a crucial offseason. New Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel is looking to bolster the talent on his roster and end Miami’s playoff drought.
Right now, the NFL combine is taking place, and members of Miami’s staff are evaluating college prospects to see who would be a good fit within the Dolphins’ system.
While it is unclear which way the Dolphins will decide to go once the draft arrives, it is clear that the team has left a great impression on at least one elite draft prospect.
University of Georgia linebacker Nakobe Dean spoke very highly about his interaction with the Dolphins.
Georgia LB Nakobe Dean said talk with Dolphins was one of the ones he enjoyed the most. That seems to be a consistent theme from draft prospects. They appreciate the way Dolphins’ staff connects, communicates with players. pic.twitter.com/OELum6S6xO

In a lot of mock drafts, the Dolphins are projected to address the offensive side of the ball early in the draft. To some fans, it might be somewhat of a surprise if the Dolphins end up taking Dean in the first round.
Whether or not Dean is near the top of the Dolphins’ big board, it is fantastic to hear that a talented prospect had such a positive experience interacting with those representing the Dolphins at the combine.
Surely, if his interaction was a good one, it stands to reason that other former college stars have also had positive talks with the Dolphins.
At the moment, the 2022 NFL Draft is just under two months away. Before it arrives, McDaniel and his staff are sure to look at Dean and countless other prospects as they prepare to make the most out of the draft.
