Report: Miami Dolphins announce full coaching staff for 2022 season
- Updated: February 18, 2022

The Miami Dolphins have announced their full coaching staff for the 2022 season under first-year head coach Mike McDaniel.
The Dolphins hired McDaniel as the team’s new head coach after three seasons with Brian Flores at the helm.
McDaniel’s staff is a mix of new coaches as well as coaches that were already with the Dolphins prior to the start of his tenure. He’s even brought on some team legends like Sam Madison and Patrick Surtain to help out during the 2022 campaign.
The Dolphins are hoping that this new regime can help turn around the team after it narrowly missed the playoffs in the 2020 and 2021 seasons.
The Dolphins were just a game away from the postseason in 2020, but they lost to the Buffalo Bills in the final week of the regular season to lose their playoff spot.
During the 2021 season, the Dolphins started the year with an abysmal 1-7 record, but they rebounded with seven straight wins and wound up finishing the year with a 9-8 record.
Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa showed some serious potential, and it will be up to McDaniel and his offensive staff to get the most out of the former first-round pick in the 2022 campaign. It seems like McDaniel and Tagovailoa are going to have a strong relationship.
Madison, Wes Welker and Surtain are just a few names that will be familiar to Dolphins fans. McDaniel is in his first gig as a head coach, and it appears that he is well-armed with a staff to help him succeed.
