All signs are pointing to McDaniel putting an extra emphasis on improving Miami’s offense for next season.
After all, the team’s defense is already a pretty solid unit, but the offense could use some work.
This trajectory should be music to the ears of Dolphins fans everywhere. It seems like McDaniel is putting extra emphasis on giving quarterback Tua Tagovailoa every possible opportunity to succeed.
The 2022 season will be the third of Tagovailoa’s career, and it could easily be a make-or-break campaign for the former University of Alabama star.
Dolphins fans were pleased to see a video of a heartwarming FaceTime conversation between McDaniel and Tagovailoa. In the video, McDaniel made it clear that his priority is to help the 23-year-old achieve greatness.
The Dolphins’ offseason so far has been marked by highs and lows. Former head coach Brian Flores accused team owner Stephen Ross of some highly questionable activity, and the team seemed to miss out on some very desirable head coaching candidates.
Still, it’s been all smiles since McDaniel accepted the job. As a young and impressive offensive mind, he’s sure to bring a level of excitement to the organization that Dolphins fans haven’t seen in quite some time.
With the Super Bowl just days away, the entire league will soon look ahead to the upcoming draft and free-agency period. Surely, the Dolphins will look to make some splashes in both so that McDaniel has the kinds of weapons he needs to make Miami’s offense hum.
