Tua Tagovailoa reveals whether or not he’s worried about the Miami Dolphins possibly trading for a QB

The Miami Dolphins are no longer in the mix for a playoff bid this season, meaning Tua Tagovailoa’s first two years at the NFL level have not resulted in a trip to the postseason.

There have been some rumblings about the possibility of the Dolphins bringing in a different quarterback this offseason, with Deshaun Watson being a name that is apparently still worth keeping an eye on.

Tagovailoa seems to be maintaining a calm mindset about any chatter surrounding Miami possibly adding a quarterback after the season ends.

Injuries have plagued Tagovailoa’s 2021 campaign, but when he has been on the field, he has displayed some really promising flashes.

Over a three-game stretch beginning in Week 11 and ending after Week 13, he completed a whopping 80.0 percent of his passes for 747 yards and five touchdowns, throwing just one interception during that span.

Overall this season, he has completed 67.8 percent of his passes for 2,544 yards in 12 games. He has thrown 15 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.

Unfortunately, the youngster didn’t exactly rise to the occasion in Week 17 when Miami desperately needed a win. He went just 18 of 38 on passes for zero touchdowns and one interception.

It remains to be seen whether or not Tagovailoa will be Miami’s starting quarterback when next season rolls around. He has become somewhat of a polarizing player from a talent perspective, as some folks love his potential and others feel that he isn’t the long-term answer for the Dolphins.

Miami will wrap up its current season with a matchup against the New England Patriots in Week 18.
