Report: Miami Dolphins to get back 5 players ahead of crucial matchup vs. Tennessee Titans

According to Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores, the team has some help on the way.

It sounds like five Dolphins players are returning to the squad after dealing with issues related to COVID-19.

Duke Riley has appeared in 14 games this season and started three of them. In total, he has racked up 11 solo tackles and 10 assisted tackles.

Justin Coleman has also appeared in 14 games this season. He has made four starts. He has two interceptions, three passes defended and 27 combined tackles to his name.

The Dolphins need all hands on deck for the final two games of the regular season. The team has done an admirable job of getting itself back in the playoff mix, but the job is far from finished.

As it stands now, the Dolphins are 8-7 on the season. They’d make the playoffs if the season were to end today.

However, there are still a number of scenarios in which Miami could miss the postseason. In fact, it’s technically possible for the team to be eliminated from contention in Week 17.

But the bottom line is that the Dolphins control their destiny. If the team wins its final two games of the regular season, then it’ll find itself in the playoffs for the first time since the 2016 campaign.

That would be a remarkable accomplishment for Miami after the team’s 1-7 start to the season. The Dolphins have won seven straight games, and they’ll look to extend that streak against the Tennessee Titans in Week 17 and New England Patriots in Week 18.
