The New Orleans Saints are shorthanded right now.
As a result, the team is reportedly going to roll with a rookie quarterback against the Miami Dolphins on Monday. It sounds like Ian Book is going to get the nod.
Book spent his collegiate career at the University of Notre Dame. During his final season there, he was able to complete 64.6 percent of his passes for 2,830 yards and 15 touchdowns in 12 games.
The previous season, he was able to rack up 34 touchdown passes in 13 games.
The Saints will certainly hope to see Book rise to the occasion against Miami on Monday and help New Orleans grab a win, but the Dolphins obviously have other ideas. Miami is hoping to extend its win streak and keep its playoff hopes alive.
There will be a lot on the line when these two squads meet.
