Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores offered an encouraging update on Wednesday regarding some of the team’s injured stars.
It sounds like Xavien Howard, Byron Jones, Preston Williams and DeVante Parker “all may have an opportunity” to practice on Thursday.
Shortly after his announcement, the four stars were seen stretching with their teammates.
The Dolphins are banged up and getting healthy needs to be a priority for the team right now. Miami is surely hoping to get some of its injured players back for this weekend’s matchup with the Atlanta Falcons.
If the team does indeed get some of its key players back, it’ll gain some reinforcements on both sides of the ball.
The Dolphins are in rough territory as it pertains to the fate of their 2021 season. At 1-5, the team’s playoff hopes are on life support.
On the bright side, Miami has one of the easiest remaining schedules in the NFL. If the team can find a way to string some wins together, perhaps things could get interesting again.
Right now, the Dolphins’ focus is on the matchup with the Falcons this weekend.
