It was recently reported that Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa will be making his return from injury in Week 6 of the 2021 NFL season.

The team and fans can heave a sigh of relief as the young player is apparently on track to meet that timetable, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa will miss the next two games while he is on injured reserve, but he is expected to be ready to return Oct. 17 against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London, a source told ESPN,” wrote Schefter.

Tagovailoa sustained a rib injury after receiving a tough hit during the Dolphins’ Week 2 match against the Buffalo Bills. Even so, he was seemingly itching to play the following week, but Miami decided to hold him back to avoid aggravating the injury.

The organization is hoping that the time off will be enough to allow Tagovailoa fully recover.

“The three weeks are expected to be enough to enable Tagovailoa to be heal and throw effectively again,” Schefter continued.

“Tagovailoa will also miss Week 5 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but those familiar with the injury believe it will be healed enough for Tagovailoa to play Oct. 17 in London”.

Miami is currently 1-2 and will try to get back on the winning track without the 23-year-old for at least the next two games.
