Although he is eligible to play in Sunday’s regular-season opener against the New England Patriots, the Dolphins have listed him as questionable for the contest.
More from the Dolphins: “Austin Jackson has been added to the injury report, listed as QUESTIONABLE with a non-injury related illness for tomorrow’s game. He is traveling separate from the team and his game status will be updated Sunday before the game.”

Jackson’s potential return would help the Dolphins a great deal in their opener. Miami’s offensive line was one of the worst in the NFL last season. The unit is going to need to take a big step forward this year if the Dolphins want to crack the playoffs.
The 22-year-old spent his collegiate career at the University of Southern California. He was one of Miami’s three first-round picks in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Jackson was a 12-game starter in the 2020 campaign. It was his rookie season, and he showed signs of exciting potential at times. He’ll look to build off that in the 2021 campaign.
