Report: Miami Dolphins provide important update regarding Austin Jackson’s availability for Week 1

1 Min Read

On Saturday, the Miami Dolphins activated offensive lineman Austin Jackson off the reserve/COVID-19 list.

Although he is eligible to play in Sunday’s regular-season opener against the New England Patriots, the Dolphins have listed him as questionable for the contest.

Jackson’s potential return would help the Dolphins a great deal in their opener. Miami’s offensive line was one of the worst in the NFL last season. The unit is going to need to take a big step forward this year if the Dolphins want to crack the playoffs.

The 22-year-old spent his collegiate career at the University of Southern California. He was one of Miami’s three first-round picks in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Jackson was a 12-game starter in the 2020 campaign. It was his rookie season, and he showed signs of exciting potential at times. He’ll look to build off that in the 2021 campaign.
