Miami Dolphins wide receiver Albert Wilson returned to practice this week, and he has looked promising so far.
His progress isn’t going unnoticed. Tight end Mike Gesicki had some high praise for him on Thursday.
The hope is that Wilson will be a difference maker for the Dolphins in the 2021 season. When he’s at his best, he’s a major weapon.
Wilson opted out of the 2020 season amid the COVID-19 pandemic. In the 2019 campaign, the 29-year-old caught 43 passes for 351 yards and a touchdown over 13 games.
The previous year, he was sidelined for a good chunk of the season. However, over the seven games he did play in, he posted some solid numbers. He racked up 26 receptions for 391 yards and four touchdowns.
It would be a fantastic development for Miami if Wilson were to emerge as a consistent pass-catching threat in the 2021 season. Wilson’s top priority should be staying on the field.
