Report: Miami Dolphins make multiple roster moves

The Miami Dolphins made four roster moves on Tuesday, including the release of three players and the placing of Lynn Bowden Jr. on the team’s injured reserve list.

Among the three players released, the most prominent is wide receiver Isaiah Ford, who has spent the majority of his career with the Dolphins since being selected by the team in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

Ford has had an up-and-down career with the Dolphins, spending the 2017 season on injured reserve. He was then released the following year, but signed with the team’s practice squad. He wound up seeing action in one game that year.

Over the 2019 and 2020 seasons, Ford caught a total of 51 passes for 520 yards. However, he was seemingly a regular on the transaction list with multiple movements, including a trade that briefly put him on the New England Patriots’ roster.

In the case of Jermaine Eluemunor, he played with the Baltimore Ravens in both 2017 and 2018, followed by two seasons with the Patriots. The Dolphins signed the offensive lineman in June.

Robert Foster joined the Dolphins this year after playing for the Buffalo Bills in 2018 and 2019 and the Washington Football Team in 2020.

The fact that Ford, Foster and Bowden were taken off the active roster appears to indicate that more prominent Dolphins receivers like DeVante Parker and Will Fuller are closer to returning. Dolphins head coach Brian Flores offered positive updates earlier on Tuesday regarding their returns.
