Miami Dolphins excluded from list of teams that have ‘real shot’ at winning Super Bowl this season

The Miami Dolphins surprised many as they went 10-6 last season, improving from 5-11 record the season before.

With the performances from last season, expectations for the team are now the highest they have been in a couple of years. However, some still aren’t completely sold on the Dolphins.

The Dolphins were left off Sports Illustrated’s list of 12 NFL teams that have a “real shot” at winning the upcoming season’s Super Bowl.

The list includes six different AFC teams: the Kansas City Chiefs, Cleveland Browns, Buffalo Bills, Indianapolis Colts, Baltimore Ravens and Los Angeles Chargers.

Although expecting a Super Bowl appearance or win might be too lofty for this year’s Dolphins team, the team should definitely be expecting to make it back to the playoffs for the first time since the 2016 season.

The organization will be surely hoping that new additions like Jaylen Waddle and Will Fuller will be able to help elevate the offense enough so that it can be on the same level as the team’s astute defense.

The Dolphins will begin their preseason against the Chicago Bears on Aug. 14.
