The NFL announced on Thursday that the first professional matchup between Tua Tagovailoa’s Miami Dolphins and Joe Burrow’s Cincinnati Bengals will be nationally televised on CBS.
The first two quarterbacks selected in the 2020 NFL Draft have yet to face off against each other as professionals, as Burrow was on the injured reserve list last season when the Bengals lost to the Dolphins in Week 13.
Last season, Burrow threw for 2,688 yards, 13 touchdowns and five interceptions while Tagovailoa threw for 1,814 yards, 11 touchdowns and five interceptions.
Given that it will be both of the teams’ third preseason game, there is a chance that the two don’t play all that much. If they do play, it will definitely be interesting to see how each one fares as they get ready for their sophomore seasons.
The game will take place in Cincinnati on Aug. 29.
