According to one Thursday report, the “streets are buzzing” about the Miami Dolphins selecting either offensive lineman Penei Sewell or wide receiver Jaylen Waddle at the No. 6 overall pick in the upcoming draft.
Miami moved back from the No. 3 overall pick in a trade with the San Francisco 49ers, but the Dolphins got back into the top six by trading with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Miami reportedly has been interested in University of Florida tight end Kyle Pitts, but it is possible that Pitts doesn’t fall to the No. 6 pick .
Sewell has been considered one of the top lineman in this year’s class, and with Miami trading Ereck Flowers, it is possible the Dolphins could draft Sewell and restructure their offensive line.
As for Waddle, he is one of the top receivers along with Ja’Marr Chase and Devonta Smith.
Miami has a lot of options at No. 6, but it must be prepared to pivot if its top choice doesn’t reach the sixth pick.
