Report: Dolphins head coach Brian Flores loves Penn State’s Micah Parsons
- Updated: April 15, 2021
Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores likes Penn State linebacker Micah Parsons heading into this year’s NFL draft, according to The Draft Scout’s Matt Miller.
The Dolphins have two picks in the first round at No. 6 and No. 18.
It is possible that they take Parsons with one of those picks or potentially try to move up from No. 18 to make sure they secure him in the draft.
FanSided’s Brian Miller broke down the possible avenues for Miami to draft Parsons.
“The Miami Dolphins draft rumors are kicking up and now Micah Parsons is entering the conversation as it seems Brian Flores likes him a lot,” Miller wrote.
“If the Miami Dolphins move from six to a team needing a quarterback, Miami may go defense and Micah Parson could be the pick. He could also be the pick at 18.
“According to Matt Miller, he is hearing around the league that the Dolphins head coach loves Penn State linebacker, Micah Parsons. The question is how much does he want him and what will the Dolphins do to get him if that is true?”
Parsons totaled 109 tackles and five sacks during the 2019 season and could help replace the loss of Kyle Van Noy this offseason.
It will be interesting to see how much Flores’ desire for players affects the Dolphins’ draft strategy.
