Of course, the Dolphins have been connected to the Texans all offseason long. However, up until now, the focus of those rumors circulated star quarterback Deshaun Watson.
Instead, the Dolphins acquire a linebacker who will substantially boost their talent in the front seven and add more veteran leadership to a unit that has quickly become one of the better defenses in the NFL.
McKinney only played in four games last season, he recorded 37 total tackles in those games.
Dolphins head coach Brian Flores will surely go into 2021 aiming to post even better numbers on the defensive side.
Going forward, Dolphins fans should now expect many of the big moves to be focused on the offensive side of the ball.
