Report: Isaiah Wilson ‘kind of lost’ as he looks to revive career with Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins traded for 2020 first-round pick Isaiah Wilson on Monday.

Wilson, who was drafted at No. 29 in last year’s draft by the Tennessee Titans, reportedly has dealt with a lot of off-the-field issues and questions about his maturity.

According to the Miami Herald‘s Barry Jackson, one person who has spent time around Wilson believes that he isn’t a bad person, but the youngster seems “lost.”

“He’s kind of lost,” said one NFL person who has spent time around him, according to Jackson. “There are a lot of maturity issues. He needs direction and guidance.”

Wilson played in college at the University of Georgia, but he had a tumultuous rookie season and appeared in just one game.

The Dolphins only gave up a seventh-round pick to acquire the embattled offensive tackle, but it will be interesting to see if they can turn his career around.

Wilson will have an opportunity to compete on a young offensive line that features draft picks Austin Jackson and Robert Hunt from last season.
