Report: Deshaun Watson likes culture Brian Flores has created with Miami Dolphins
- Updated: January 17, 2021

Shortly after it was reported that star quarterback Deshaun Watson wanted to move on from the Houston Texans, it was also reported that one of his preferred destinations is the Miami Dolphins.
On Sunday, the reason for that preference was revealed. Apparently, Watson is a big fan of Dolphins head coach Brian Flores and the culture he has created in Miami.
Chris Mortensen added that Deshaun Watson likes the culture Brian Flores has created in Miami and also that there are no state taxes there like in Texas.
Nothing is formal, still early in the off-season.

This is a major nugget for Dolphins fans who are hoping they will soon see Watson play for their team. While quarterback Tua Tagovailoa showed promise in his rookie season with the Dolphins, there is no doubt that Watson would immediately make the team a serious contender in the AFC.
Beyond that, a recent report indicated that some Dolphins players doubt Tagovailoa’s potential.
Last season, Watson threw for 4,823 yards and 33 touchdowns. He’s proven to be one of the most talented passers in the NFL despite his team’s recent failure to compete at a high level.
As the offseason for the Texans and Dolphins wears on, it will be fascinating to see if the two sides actually end up talking seriously about a Watson deal. If a deal does get done, there is no doubt that the Dolphins will be considered one of the most exciting squads in the NFL for the 2021 season.
