Report: Miami Dolphins place several players on reserve/COVID-19 list

The Miami Dolphins reportedly placed three players on the reserve/COVID-19 list on Thursday.

Defensive end Christian Wilkins, who missed practice today, as well as linebacker Kyle Van Noy and wide receiver Matt Cole, were placed on the list.

However, rookie Lynn Bowden Jr. was removed.

It is a big blow to the Miami defense if Van Noy and Wilkins cannot suit up this weekend against the Los Angeles Chargers.

While the report does not specify whether the players have tested positive, they will all need multiple negative tests to get cleared for Sunday.

If the players were just deemed close contacts, they will still have a chance of playing.

Wilkins and Van Noy have been two anchors for the defense this season.

Wilkins has started six games and totaled a sack and an interception.

Van Noy has made 33 tackles and two sacks across seven appearances this year.

Miami is looking to improve to 6-3 on the season and 3-0 in the Tua Tagovailoa era on Sunday.
