Report: Miami Dolphins announce devastating news regarding Austin Jackson’s injury

The Miami Dolphins are placing rookie offensive tackle Austin Jackson on injured reserve.
Jackson has been dealing with a foot injury and now will be sidelined for a minimum of three weeks under the NFL’s injured reserve policy for this season.

The Dolphins selected Jackson with the No. 18 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
The first-round pick was supposed to be a key in helping Miami fix its offensive line issues from last season.
It was reported that the Dolphins were signing rookie running back Salvon Ahmed to their 53-man roster today, and Jackson’s placement on injured reserve is likely the team’s corresponding move to make room.
The Dolphins will now move forward with Julie’n Davenport, Jesse Davis and Robert Hunt at offensive tackle.
The Dolphins are slated to play the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.
