Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was back at practice on Friday.
The rookie landed on the team’s injury report earlier this week with an undisclosed illness, however Dolphins head coach Brian Flores was adamant that it was not COVID-19.
It is a positive development for Miami, as it needs Tagovailoa to get as many practice reps as possible.
The No. 5 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, Tagovailoa had a severe hip injury last season at the University of Alabama.
While the Dolphins are trying to get him up to speed with the playbook, it is also important that Tagovailoa continues to get himself back to feeling 100 percent physically.
The Dolphins are 1-2 this season with veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick at quarterback.
While Fitzpatrick has played decent, there is a good chance that Tagovailoa will make an appearance at some point this season.
