Miami Dolphins running back Myles Gaskin has seen the majority of the snaps in the Dolphins’ backfield so far this season, and on Wednesday, Dolphins head coach Brian Flores expressed how happy he is with the 23-year-old.
Although he hasn’t scored a touchdown so far this season, Gaskin has had a solid start to the year, rushing for 152 yards on 38 carries and catching 15 passes for 91 yards.
In his first career NFL start in the Dolphins’ Week 3 victory against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Gaskin ran for 66 yards on 22 carries and also caught five passes for 29 yards.
Throughout the first three games of the season, the University of Washington product has shown the type of versatility that will surely come in handy for the Dolphins throughout the remainder of the season.
Gaskin, a seventh-round pick of the Dolphins in the 2019 NFL Draft, has already seen more snaps on offense throughout the first three games of this season than he did throughout the entirety of his rookie season a year ago.
As the season goes on, it will be interesting to see how Gaskin continues to develop and how well the Dolphins use his abilities and talents.
