The Miami Dolphins are 0-2 so far in the 2020 NFL season, and star receiver DeVante Parker has struggled to pick up where he left off last year.
A major reason why is because Parker is dealing with a hamstring injury. Despite battling injury so far this season, Parker has made a bold claim regarding the coming games.
Parker was a game-time decision before Sunday’s loss to the Buffalo Bills. He had his best game of the young season versus the Bills, hauling in five balls for 53 yards and a touchdown.
Unfortunately, his contributions didn’t help the Dolphins get the win.
On the season, Parker has nine catches for 100 yards and a touchdown. While he’s had a slow start, he’s shown the ability to get separation and bring in tough balls already.
Hopefully, Parker is able to get healthy and stay healthy for the remaining games.
If the Dolphins continue to struggle, it will be interesting to see if the team elects to bench starting quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick and give rookie Tua Tagovailoa some in-game experience.
If the team does end rolling with Tagovailoa, Parker will certainly serve as a valuable target as the former University of Alabama standout acclimates to the speed of the game at the next level.
