Miami Dolphins News: DeVante Parker Returns to Practice After Lengthy Absence
- Updated: September 8, 2020

Miami Dolphins wide receive DeVante Parker returned to practice on Tuesday, raising hopes that he’ll be available for the team’s opening game at New England on Sunday.
DeVante Parker returned to practice Tuesday with a white compression sleeve on his left thigh/hamstring. Xavien Howard, Mike Gesicki both practicing.
Two tentative Dolphins number changes: Matt Breida switched to #22, formally #20. Lynn Bowden is in #15 – a WR number.

Parker, whose career with the Dolphins has been plagued by injuries, hadn’t practiced with the Dolphins since Aug. 24. His status for the game against the Patriots became more of a question mark with each passing day.
Now, it looks likely that he’ll be able to suit up for Week 1.
Having Parker as an option for Ryan Fitzpatrick would aid the Dolphins immeasurably as they attempt to get off on the right note following last season’s disastrous start.
The 27-year-old Parker is beginning his sixth season with the Dolphins after he was the 14th overall pick of the 2015 NFL Draft.
During his NFL career, Parker has been a dynamic performer when healthy.
Despite the Dolphins finishing with a 5-11 record in 2019, one of the stars of the team was Parker, who had a career-high 72 receptions for 1,202 yards and nine touchdowns.
