Report: Kalen Ballage Gets Sent Back to Miami Dolphins in Stunning Turn of Events
- Updated: August 30, 2020
The Miami Dolphins’ trade of running back Kalen Ballage on Thursday has been nullified, reportedly after Ballage flunked his physical with the New York Jets.
More intrigue for former #Dolphins RB Kalen Ballage, who was to be traded to the #Jets: Source said he failed his physical with #NYJ because of a hamstring injury. So Ballage reverts back to MIA, who likely releases him. He could end up back with the #Jets when healed.

Ballage was on the verge of being released by the Dolphins prior to the deal with the Jets being made, a transaction that’s now expected to take place soon.
The fact that the Jets are likely ready to acquire Ballage again once he’s released by the Dolphins makes the entire situation that much more strange.
During Ballage’s two seasons with the Dolphins, he failed to make much of an impact, rushing for just 326 yards on 110 carries and four touchdowns. He had been selected in the fourth round of the 2018 draft out of Arizona State University.
