Report: Noah Igbinoghene Has Been Miami Dolphins’ ‘Most Impressive Defensive Player Overall’

Among the many impressive rookies in the Miami Dolphins’ 2020 training camp, cornerback Noah Igbinoghene apparently ranks at the top of the list among both rookies and the entire defense

Adam H. Beasley of the Miami Herald offered his assessments of Dolphins players thus far, with Igbinoghene getting a glowing review.

“The third of the Dolphins’ three first-round picks hasn’t just been their most impressive rookie so far,” Beasley wrote. “He’s been their most impressive defensive player overall.”

Igbinoghene was taken out of Auburn University with the 30th overall pick in April’s draft, so his early performance doesn’t come as a total surprise to the Dolphins.

However, despite his rookie status, Igbinoghene has shown no fear in going up against some of the Dolphins’ most talented receivers.

Having that level of confidence is a prerequisite for any NFL cornerback, though many rookies are often still trying to find their way during their first training camp.

Of course, practices and actual game action are two completely different situations, though Igbinoghene appears to show that he’ll be able to quickly make that transition.

Igbinoghene may have to do just that, considering the uncertain status of fellow corner Xavien Howard. If that does happen, Igbinoghene’s official baptism is scheduled to take place on Sept. 13 against the New England Patriots.
