Former NFL QB says watching Tua Tagovailoa ‘leaves you scratching your head because it’s so good’

The Miami Dolphins should be incredibly excited about Tua Tagovailoa’s future based on the reaction of former NFL quarterback Mark Sanchez.

Sanchez recently spoke with Fox’s Colin Cowherd and gushed about Tagovailoa’s talent and football IQ.

“Sometimes you can’t even articulate what he did on film and it leaves you scratching your head because it’s so good, so fast and so instinctive,” he said. “It’s almost like he’s processing what’s happening physically in front of him. And in those nanoseconds his body is already reacting. He’s already making decisions you didn’t even know he could make that quickly. It’s uncanny. He’s physically and mentally twitchy.”

For Dolphins fans, it’s going to be pretty impossible not to read that and crack a smile.

The fact that Sanchez’s opinion is so high is even better considering the fact that he played the majority of his NFL career with the reviled New York Jets.

Surely, it is every Dolphins fan’s hope that Tagovailoa spends much of the next decade or more beating up on the Jets as a member of the Dolphins.

During his time at the University of Alabama, Tagovailoa threw for 7,442 yards and 87 touchdowns with a completion percentage of 69.3.

There is little doubt that he’s got all the tools necessary to become a major star in the NFL. It’s up to the franchise that drafted him No. 5 overall to make sure that it puts Tagovailoa in the right position to succeed.

From there, it appears that the sky is the limit.
