Sneak Peek Offered of the Miami Dolphins’ Incredible Future Practice Facility

The new training facility for the Miami Dolphins is progressing smoothly just 10 months after breaking ground. Some photos of the current construction were posted on social media on Monday.

The $135 million, state-of-the-art facility is tentatively scheduled to open sometime during the spring of 2021 after having broken ground last Aug. 21. It will be known as the Baptist Health Training Complex in recognition of the healthcare organization’s sponsorship.

Located next to Hard Rock Stadium, the facility will have three practice fields for players along with offices and meeting rooms for the team’s staff.

Yet, that merely scratches the surface of what the complex will embrace. It will include new technology, while providing medical concepts such as a hydrotherapy area, cryotherapy and isolation tanks.

In order to accommodate the sometimes-inclement South Florida weather, there will be an 92,200-square-foot indoor practice field.

The new facility will be more than 50,000 square feet larger than the Dolphins’ current training facility at Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Fla.

For decades, NFL and college football teams have continually raised the bar in what their facilities offer players.

The Dolphins’ investment in the new facility is an effort by the team’s owner, Stephen Ross, to show that the organization is committed to building a winner.

In addition, the new complex may help in keeping valuable components of the team from leaving in free agency as well as enticing other free agents to sign with the team.
