Miami Dolphins offensive lineman Austin Jackson, Robert Hunt and Michael Deiter reportedly are scheduled to spend a week together in Arizona working out.
All three players are represented by former NFL offensive lineman Joe Panos.
The trio is expected to go through a “minicamp” along with four other players, according to Sports Illustrated.
Jackson, the No. 18 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, may be the biggest name to watch for the Dolphins, but Hunt (the No. 39 pick in the 2020 draft) and Deiter both could play important roles for Miami this season as well.
In addition to organizing the minicamp, Panos reportedly contacted the offensive line coaches for each of the players involved.
“Oh, I love it,” Panos said. “I absolutely love it because I know, without sounding like a jerk, they’re going to get trained right.
“If they can’t be with their coaches, I’d like to think I know what I’m doing here. I love the fact that I promised these kids and their parents that I’d take care of them to the best of my ability, that I’m gonna go above and beyond, and get them ready for the season.”
The extra preparation with Panos could be crucial for the young offensive lineman in what is expected to be a rather different offseason for the NFL.
