The winningest coach in NFL history and former head coach of the Miami Dolphins Don Shula, 90, passed away on Monday morning, according to one of his children.
Shula was best known for his stint on the Dolphins as head coach from 1970 to 1995, where he led them to two Super Bowl titles as well as a historic 1972 season.
During that season he led the Dolphins to a perfect 17-0 record. The team remains the only NFL team to complete an entire season undefeated and untied from the opening game all the way through the Super Bowl.
