Jay Cutler and DeVante Parker Expected to Play Sunday

As the Miami Dolphins prepare for their Sunday night tilt against the Oakland Raiders, all signs are pointing to quarterback Jay Cutler and wide receiver DeVante Parker returning to the field.

Parker has missed the last three games with an ankle injury and Cutler missed last week’s 40-0 thumping at the hands of the Baltimore Ravens after going down in in Week 7 with a rib injury.

While both players are listed as questionable entering the weekend, both were full participants in practice all week and should be good to go.

Before Parker went down with the ankle injury, the two had connected for 236 yards and one touchdown on 19 receptions. In the offseason, Cutler sang Parker’s praises shortly after coming out of retirement to join the Dolphins.

“I think he’s kind of a faster Alshon [Jeffery],” Cutler said, per ESPN. “He’s got a lot of range, back shoulder and over the top. He’s got great hands. Then, he can burn you up if you’re flat-footed.”

The Miami Dolphins are looking to rebound from the 40-0 loss and prove that they are still in the playoff picture by defeating the talented 3-5 Raiders. With Cutler and Parker on the field, their chances of doing so certainly go up.
