According to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport, the Miami Dolphins fear that starting quarterback Jay Cutler may have suffered cracked ribs early in the third quarter of Sunday’s 31-28 victory over the New York Jets.
#Dolphins QB Jay Cutler is feared to have a cracked rib & is heading for X-Rays, sources say. MIA doesn’t know for sure & will check it all

If the injury is confirmed by the team, it would likely mean Cutler would miss some time. Dolphins head coach Adam Gase may be facing a quarterback dilemma either way after backup Matt Moore led the Dolphins to a comeback victory over the Jets.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter seemed to confirm Rapoport’s initial report when he tweeted an update to Cutler’s rib injury:
Dolphins believe QB Jay Cutler suffered two cracked ribs today that could sideline him two to three weeks, per source. More tests coming.

Cutler won’t have much time to heal this week, as the team is set to take on the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night. More details on Cutler’s status will come as soon as they become available.
