Miami Dolphins News: Several Offensive Stars Questionable for Sunday’s Game vs. Jets
- Updated: September 22, 2017
The Miami Dolphins‘ offensive stars put on a show last Sunday with running back Jay Ajayi leading the attack on the ground and receivers Jarvis Landry and DeVante Parker putting up big numbers through the air. The Dolphins may have to look elsewhere for offensive production in Week 3, however, after Friday’s injury report listed all three players as questionable for Sunday’s matchup against the New York Jets.
According to South Florida Sun-Sentinel writer Chris Perkins, all three offensive stars fully participated in Friday’s practice, but are still listed as questionable heading into the game. Also on the injury report are linebacker Rey Maualuga who is listed as out, defensive tackle Jordan Phillips who is doubtful, center Mike Pouncey who was limited early in the week with a hip injury, and running back Damien Williams who is listed as questionable.

The fact that Ajayi, Landry, Pouncey, and Parker were all full participants on Friday is certainly promising, but it is never good to see that many starters on the injury report this early in the season. This will be the second week in a row that Ajayi, Landry, and Pouncey are listed on the injury report, so their statuses leading up to Sunday’s game will be something to focus on.
The Dolphins are expected to defeat the Jets with ease on Sunday, but that all depends on which Dolphins are able to take the field once kickoff arrives.
