8. Less Pressure on His Shoulders Compared to Past Seasons
Unlike his previous years in Chicago, expect Cutler to not be nearly as much of a focal point when it comes to Miami’s offense this season.
The Dolphins are coming off a successful 10-6 season in which they passed the ball on just 56.21 percent of their plays and dedicated 43.79 percent of their offensive plays to the ground attack, which was the fifth highest running play percentage in the NFL last year.
Miami rising star running back Jay Ajayi, who rushed for an impressive 1,276 yards and eight touchdowns last season, earned the Dolphins’ trust on offense and the same mentality should transition over to this season as well.
If Cutler’s offensive line in Miami consistently protects him from hard hits by pass rushers, he should be able to maintain an explosive attack on offense.
