According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, it’s not known at this time if Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill will play in the team’s upcoming contest versus the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night.

“Dolphins star receiver Tyreek Hill is officially listed as questionable for Monday night’s game against the Rams because of a wrist injury,” Pelissero said. “And my understanding is, it is truly up in the air on whether or not the Cheetah plays. He first injured the wrist back in training camp. It was a joint practice with the [Washington] Commanders. He tweaked it again this week. It’s been bothering him enough that he did not practice at all on Friday or Saturday. What I can tell you is Tyreek did travel with the team to L.A.. That is a good sign, but they may not know until warmups whether or not he’s actually going to play on Monday.”
Hill is on pace for his least productive campaign in a Dolphins uniform this season. After he totaled well over 1,000 receiving yards in each of his first two seasons as a member of the Dolphins, he is in jeopardy of finishing the 2024 regular season with less than quadruple digits in that stat.
He’s also averaging just 55.8 receiving yards per game across eight games played in Miami, which is the second-lowest mark of his pro career. Hill averaged 37.1 receiving yards per contest in his rookie NFL season with the Kansas City Chiefs back in 2016.
Interestingly, Hill even finished with single digits in receiving yards in one of the Dolphins’ recent contests. In Miami’s loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Oct. 20, he ended up with a mere eight receiving yards and one reception.
While Hill hasn’t played at the top of his game since the start of the campaign, he has rebounded from his quiet game against the Colts with solid performances in each of Miami’s last two games. He has totaled 152 receiving yards on 10 receptions during that span, and in the Dolphins’ matchup against the Buffalo Bills on Nov. 3, he accumulated 80 receiving yards.
The Dolphins might need Hill to not only play against Los Angeles, but play at a high level as well, if the team wants to pick up a victory over a Rams team that is rolling at the moment. Los Angeles is one of the hotter teams in the NFL, considering it is on a three-game winning streak after it started the season out 1-4. The Rams are also 3-1 at home, with their one home loss thus far coming against the Green Bay Packers on Oct. 6.
Here’s to hoping that Hill will take the field against the Rams on Monday and help prevent the Dolphins from picking up their fourth loss in a row. Miami would fall to 2-7 on the campaign with a loss.
