It looks like De’Von Achane’s return will be short-lived as the Miami Dolphins running back sustained a knee injury against the Las Vegas Raiders and is questionable to return.

It’s still unclear if the injury involves the same knee he hurt a while back that caused him to sit out the past several weeks. He was just recently reactivated from injured reserve, and the organization and its fans are hoping that the 22-year-old won’t have to spend more time on the sidelines.

Tyreek Hill was initially questionable to return to the game with a hand injury before returning to the field late in the second quarter.

Achane has been a solid addition to the team this season. He was selected by the Dolphins in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft, and it didn’t take long for him to showcase his potential. In his first four appearances, he recorded 460 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns.

The Texas A&M University product also earned AFC Offensive Player of the Week honors for Week 3 after he helped Miami dominate the Denver Broncos. He finished that contest with 203 rushing yards, 30 receiving yards and four total touchdowns.

Clearly, the future is bright for the young running back. So, hopefully he can overcome his injury in no time. It doesn’t look too dire for the Achane now, though, as he was reportedly seen walking out of the medical tent into the locker room without an exaggerated limp.

If Achane is unable to take the field again versus the Raiders, the Dolphins will have to rely more on Raheem Mostert and Salvon Ahmed.

Tua Tagovailoa had a solid opening period, throwing for one touchdown. It remains to be seen if he and his teammates can rally to win the game and move to 7-3.
