Tyreek Hill pops up on Miami Dolphins injury report ahead of Week 5 matchup vs. New York Jets
- Updated: October 6, 2022
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill popped up on the team’s injury report on Thursday.
Hill, who practiced fully on Wednesday, was listed as a limited participant with a quad injury. He was one of several Dolphins players on the injury report, including his running mate and fellow wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, who was a limited participant with a groin injury.

While it’s not great for the Dolphins that Hill is on the injury report, fans can take a positive away in that he was still able to practice on a limited basis. A report from the Dolphins practice revealed that Hill “looked fine” despite the limited tag.
#Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill (quad) was limited at Thursday's practice, but appeared fine otherwise. One injury of concern is CB Xavien Howard (groins), who missed his second straight day of practice and in question for Sunday's game vs. #Jets.

Hill has been huge for the Dolphins in the 2022 season after the team traded several draft picks for him this past offseason. One of the best deep threats in the NFL, Hill already has 477 receiving yards, two touchdowns and 31 catches this season.
Hill isn’t usually prone to injuries, as he’s played in at least 12 games in each of his NFL seasons. When playing for the Kansas City Chiefs early in his career, Hill appeared in 15 or more games in all but one season.
The Dolphins certainly are hoping Hill will be good to go in Week 5 against the New York Jets, especially since backup quarterback Teddy Bridgewater will be under center. Miami wants to be able to surround him with as many weapons as possible on offense.
Hill is coming off a big game in Week 4 against the Cincinnati Bengals where he caught 10 of his 14 targets for 160 receiving yards. While Hill didn’t score a touchdown in the game, it is the third time this season he has finished with 94 or more yards receiving.

The Jets, who sit at 2-2 on the season, are coming off a win against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 4. The Dolphins are now 3-1 following their loss to Cincy last week.
Luckily, the Dolphins and Jets don’t face off until Sunday after Miami played on Thursday night in Week 4. That should give Hill some more time to rest his quad and suit up in the AFC East division matchup.
