Miami Dolphins news: Dolphins select Erik Ezukanma with No. 125 overall pick in 2022 draft
- Updated: April 30, 2022

During the final day of the 2022 NFL Draft on Saturday, the Miami Dolphins selected Texas Tech University wide receiver Erik Ezukanma.
The 22-year-old Ezukanma has excellent size at 6-foot-3 and 220 pounds and should present a large target for Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.
After a quiet collegiate season in 2018, Ezukanma became a consistent presence in the Red Raiders’ receiving unit. He caught 42 passes in the 2019 season, grabbed 46 more in the 2020 season and then capped his collegiate career with 48 last season.
In his four seasons at Texas Tech, Ezukanma reached the end zone a total of 15 times through the air, including four times last season.
In addition to his receiving prowess, Ezukanma also showed off his running skills last season by carrying the ball 10 times for 138 yards and two touchdowns.
While he’s not guaranteed to see tons of action for the Dolphins in the upcoming season, Ezukanma should at least offer the team some solid depth while he gets his footing at the NFL level.
