Morstead, who spent last season with the New York Jets and Atlanta Falcons, has made one Pro Bowl during his lengthy NFL career.
The 36-year-old was a fifth-round draft pick back in 2009 by the New Orleans Saints. Morstead spent the first 12 seasons of his career with the Saints before moving on for the 2021 season.
The Dolphins are clearly upgrading their special teams unit, and a veteran punter like Morstead should bring experience and leadership to the team’s locker room.
After going 9-8 in the 2021 season, the Dolphins have upgraded their roster as they look to make a playoff push in the 2022 season.
