Momentum is on the Miami Dolphins’ side right now, and the squad is hoping to keep things rolling this weekend.
Unfortunately, the health of Phillip Lindsay is something the Dolphins are going to have to monitor heading into Sunday. The 27-year-old reportedly wasn’t seen at practice on Thursday. It sounds like he’s dealing with an ankle injury.

The timing of this development is unfortunate. Earlier this week, Brian Flores said that there was going to be an “opportunity” for Lindsay to be a bigger part of Miami’s offense against the New York Giants on Sunday. It remains to be seen if that’s still going to be the case given his ankle issue.

The one-time Pro Bowler made his Dolphins debut in Week 12. He got 12 carries and rushed for 42 yards, giving him an average of 3.5 yards per attempt.

Lindsay is capable of making an impact through the air as well. In the 2019 season, he caught 35 passes for 196 yards. The season before that, he racked up 35 receptions for 241 yards.
If he’s able to play in Week 13, it’ll be interesting to see if Miami tries to get him involved in that capacity.
The Dolphins are making things interesting in the playoff race. They’ve won four straight games and are now 5-7 on the season.
The squad still has a lot of work to do, but the idea of Miami nabbing a postseason bid gets more realistic with each passing victory. The team would love to extend its win streak this weekend against the Giants.
