The hope, of course, is that Jones will be good to go for Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It’s a big matchup for Miami, and the team could really use a win.
In four games this season, Jones has already racked up five passes defended. That’s more than he had in 14 games last season.
Statistically, Miami has one of the worst defenses in the NFL so far this season. The team ranks 25th in points allowed per game at 27.2.
The unit will certainly need to turn things around in order for the Dolphins to overcome their 1-3 start. It’s a good sign that the team seemingly won’t be without Jones for its upcoming game.
