Adam Butler identifies key similarity between Brian Flores and Bill Belichick
- Updated: September 9, 2021
Adam Butler will suit up for his first game against his former team when the Miami Dolphins take on the New England Patriots in Week 1.
Leading up to the game, Butler discussed a key similarity he has recognized between Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and Dolphins head coach Brian Flores.
“Coach Flo and coach Belichick, their leadership — you get behind that strong leadership,” Butler said.
It shouldn’t come as much of a shock that Flores’ style of leadership mirrors that of Belichick. After all, Flores spent over a decade with the Patriots before he was hired to lead the Dolphins.
Now, Flores will look to continue his recent success against his former boss. The Dolphins are 2-1 in their three most recent games against the Pats.
As for Butler, he’ll hope to carve out a nice role for himself within the Dolphins’ defensive line rotation.
The Dolphins will begin their 2021 season this Sunday in Foxborough, Mass.
