NFL analyst predicts Miami Dolphins will have ‘dilemma’ with Tua Tagovailoa after 2021 season
- Updated: July 12, 2021
A high-profile NFL analyst recently exclaimed that Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa will have a difficult 2021 season.
Moreover, he believes his season will lead to a quarterback controversy after the upcoming campaign comes to an end.
I'm with @NateGearySports — I do not think we see "it" with Tua Tagovailoa this year. The Dolphins will be good, but they'll have a QB dilemma after the '21 season.

Tagovailoa failed to live up to lofty expectations during his rookie campaign. He appeared in 10 games and completed 64.1 percent of his passes for 1,814 yards and 11 touchdowns. Perhaps the most alarming part of his campaign was the fact that veteran quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick had to bail the rookie out in several high-leverage situations.
Tagovailoa won’t have that luxury this season, as Fitzpatrick has taken his talents elsewhere for the 2021 campaign. Despite having both quarterbacks last season, the Dolphins narrowly missed the playoffs.
Miami fans have been largely optimistic about Tagovailoa’s potential to breakthrough in the upcoming season, and at least one person within the organization has hinted that players are excited about his growth. However, it’s obvious that some neutral parties don’t share that same enthusiasm.
It will be a pivotal year for the former first-round pick, and it will be very interesting to see how he deals with the pressure.
