When the Dolphins selected the University of Alabama product with the No. 5 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, they knew they had a potential franchise quarterback on their hands.
Tagovailoa did not make his professional debut until Week 6 of the 2020 season. However, he was entrusted with the starting position the following game.
He finished the season with a 6-3 record. The 2018 SEC Offensive Player of the Year almost led the team to the playoffs. However, a lopsided defeat in Week 17 dashed those hopes.
While Tagovailoa had a disastrous minicamp practice earlier this week, the Dolphins are hoping that young quarterback can continue improving and help bring the franchise back to the playoffs after a long absence.
