Dwyane Wade offers hilarious reason why Miami Dolphins never gave him a shot to play
- Updated: April 13, 2021
Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade had a hilarious response to a fan who asked why the Miami Dolphins never gave him a shot.
Wade, 39, joked that his body wouldn’t have been able to hold up for long if he were on the football field.
Because my knees wouldn’t have lasted a day https://t.co/GmgZlpGR4t

Heat fans are certainly glad Wade kept his focus on the basketball court, as he brought three NBA titles to Miami.
A 13-time All-Star, Wade averaged 22.0 points, 4.7 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game throughout his storied career.
The Dolphins certainly would have loved the publicity of Wade being around the team, but it’s clear he knew that his body could only hold up for so long playing basketball, let alone football.
The Dolphins are looking to join the Heat as another playoff team in Miami after they narrowly missed the postseason with a 10-6 record in 2020.
