Miami Dolphins rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is hoping to bounce back from a disappointing outing against the Denver Broncos last weekend, but first he’ll have to overcome a new injury.
According to a Wednesday report, Tagovailoa is dealing with a thumb injury.

Last Sunday’s contest was the first time that Tagovailoa seemed to struggle mightily on the field in the NFL.
He finished the game with a 55.0 completion percentage, 83 yards and a touchdown.
It came after he had passed for two touchdowns and zero interceptions in two consecutive games.
So far, Tagovailoa has looked the part of a confident and talented young passer. While Sunday’s loss was surely a bit of a setback, he should be able to recover quickly and continue his development.
Hopefully, the thumb injury doesn’t keep him off the field for much longer. Given he was limited on Wednesday, he should still be expected to go this weekend against the lowly New York Jets.
