Miami Dolphins kicker Jason Sanders named AFC Special Teams Player of the Month
- Updated: October 29, 2020
Miami Dolphins kicker Jason Sanders has been named the AFC’s Special Teams Player of the Month for October.
Sanders was fantastic for the Dolphins in October, as he made all 11 of his field-goal attempts as well as all seven of his extra points.

The Dolphins currently sit at 3-3 this season, and Sanders has been a big reason why.
Having a reliable kicker not only helps put points on the board, but it certainly gives Dolphins head coach Brian Flores a lot of confidence as well.
Sanders played one less game in October due to the Dolphins’ Week 7 bye, but it didn’t stop him from earning the award.
Now, Sanders and Miami will turn their focus to a solid Los Angeles Rams team.
The Rams have a knack for putting up a lot of points, so Miami certainly will need Sanders to be on his game as it tries to keep pace.
