As the Miami Dolphins opened up a 14-0 lead over the Jacksonville Jaguars in the first quarter on Thursday, there was an interesting sight.
Dolphins starting quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick was seen applying a block to help free up running back Myles Gaskin.

Fitzpatrick has gotten the start at the QB spot in each of the Dolphins’ first three games, as rookie Tua Tagovailoa has been recovering from a hip injury.
Fitzpatrick’s size, especially weight-wise, gives him the ability to occasionally be a blocker, a luxury that few NFL quarterbacks possess.
On the Dolphins’ opening drive, he connected with wide receiver Preston Williams on a short touchdown reception to put his team ahead.
