Report: Miami Dolphins Release Concerning Update Regarding DeVante Parker
- Updated: August 28, 2020
Miami Dolphins wide receiver DeVante Parker proved last season that he can be a star in the NFL when he’s healthy.
The only problem is that he has struggled to stay healthy for much of his young career.
Now, it seems like Parker is once again dealing with an injury after it was reported that he missed his second straight practice on Friday.
“Dolphins receiver DeVante Parker, the team’s leading pass catcher last season, missed his second straight practice Friday,” Safid Deen of the Sun Sentinel reported.
“Parker was out of uniform when he joined the team for its pre-practice chat regarding the shooting of Jacob Blake in Wisconsin before re-entering the facility during practice.
“While Parker’s injury may not be considered serious, his lingering absence could affect the Dolphins for their Sept. 13 season opener on the road against the New England Patriots.”
Last season, Parker burst onto the scene and boasted 72 receptions for 1,202 yards and nine touchdowns. It was the first time in his career that he was able to play in all 16 games.
Despite the recent absences, it doesn’t seem that Parker’s injury is severe.
Hopefully, he’ll be back on the field in no time and ready to go for the team’s opener in just a few short weeks.
