Miami Dolphins News: Dolphins Release Rookie Center

1 Min Read

The Miami Dolphins continue to make cuts to narrow down their roster prior to the start of the 2020 NFL regular season.

The latest victim of those cuts is rookie center Donell Stanley.

Stanley, a product of the University of South Carolina, spent six total seasons at the collegiate level.

He was redshirted his freshman year, and then he received a medical redshirt in the 2016 season.

He started at center for the final three seasons of his Gamecocks career.

The Dolphins picked up Stanley after he went undrafted in the 2020 draft.

At 6-foot-3 and 322 pounds, Stanley surely has the size to battle in the trenches at the NFL level. Hopefully, the young man is able to earn a spot on a team elsewhere in the league.

As for the Dolphins, they’ll continue to evaluate their talent on the offensive line as they look to improve from last season when they allowed a league-high 58 total sacks.
